Our Mission

Our purpose is to create a connection between our community and our environment. By being responsible as a community for the state of our forests we can strengthen our community as well as preserve the land we cherish. We will achieve this purpose by organizing events that are fun, build a sense of community and responsibility, and raise money for causes that lead to the preservation of our forests.

Take Back Your Forest was first created in 2007 by Santa Cruz, Singer-Songwriter, Amy Obenski. Part of the vision for "Take Back Your Forest" is to have all event expenses covered by in kind donations from local companies and all performances 100% donated by local performers. We are proud to say we have successfully upheld that vision. Our first event raised $5,000 for the Sempervirens Fund.
